I have setup this new topic to enlighten everyone on just who Carlo DeMaria is as he gives high paying jobs to non-Everett citizens and fires people that are from Everett and supported him during the campaign.

OK, While we all stuggle to make ends meet it's nice to know that our Mayor is living the life of riley on our tax dollars. Check out is house on Belmont Street.

You must be logged in to see this link.

He and his staff are robbing this City blind.

I wonder why his wifes name is on the Deed????

Now you go to the "Chief of Staff" making $91,000.00 a year from our tax dollars and living in a very nice single family home in Taunton. On our tax dollars.

Then there's Jerry Navarra making $600.00 a week part time and the mystery man Jamie Russo making the same part time. Nice...

Well.........then I would imagine he can afford an air filtration system when he allows Thibeault to lower Broadway BEFORE the enclosure. Yea right....that building will ever get built

Thibeault is his biggest financial supporter other then his parents. The house he owned on Central Ave was mortgaged to run for Senate and we all remember how that turned out...

Thibeault is the only supporter other then Atty Rossi who donated to the Mayor before:
(1/28/2002 Rossi, Anthony 515 Broadway Everett, MA 02149 Attorney Self-Employed donation to DeMaria Jr., Carlo $250.00) That is reaping anything from DeMaria. Isn't it a conflict of interest to have the Mayor and Rossi working together????

Johnfounder,

May I add that his friends have been making quite the bit of money (On the taxpayers dime) and I do not believe anyone has seen the bidding on that.

Who else bid for street sweeping and how much? The same company just made a mint on road work in ward three. I thought that was all inhouse? Who else bid for the road construction, mostly ward three (Walnut St)

I have been asking these question, and not getting any answers. I never saw a notice for this, and there should have been one. Do you expect me to believe this same company keeps coming in with the "lowest" dollar figure? I was born on a day, but it wasn't yesterday.

He fired the MIS Department and the cities e-mail and computers have been haywire. The ones that are there, are clueless. ECTV..........that stands on it's own. We had Scott Councell who did a terrific job and does not have a mean bone in his body, just tossed away for a Marcus political favor. Truly disgusting, the callousness disregard for people.

The Mayors business DeMaria Inc. is even reaping the benefits. Whenever there is a function at Cityhall you can bet Honey Dew is taking care of the event. Employees are afraid to bring in Dunkin Donuts coffee to work...I think we may have the making of another Mussolini here...

Keep your eyes on the "New Vehicles" for the City Services Department. I'm sure GTA will be unloading plenty of equipment they don't want on the City's dime. I'm also sure that the bidding envelopes will be suffering from lack of glue...

What's wrong with the city council?????If this was any other mayor, advocating William Thibeault, and all these other issues, they would be on him like white on rice! Sounds to me like it's all about jobs, and jobs for family.

You raise some reasonable issues like staffing the office and other jobs. Which off course everyone knows is all whithin the mayor's rights to hire and fire and pay as he sees fit. He will also sink or swim with those decisions.

Contibutions are always an issue with anyone who runs for office. Again the voters can decide what they think of the donors and the implications.

You start with the house that was built before he became mayor. That point is so absurd it makes everything else you say less credible. You wonder why his wifes name is on the deed. Are you feel real ? Such an absurd remark makes one wonder if you are all there.

There are enough real issues like crime, dirty streets, parking, illegal apartments etc. Why don't you stick to those and maybe help improve the city instead of obvious sour grapes personal attacks.

"I" do not have any sour grapes personal attacks. As for the house, good for him. There isn't anything wrong with it. I think the point was, he is so much better off than 99% of the city and he's forgetting where he lives and where he came from. He's tossing away all the Everett resident and hiring from Southbridge and Taunton at extremely high salaries.

The tax payers in Everett can not afford his extravagant hires. We have elderly people that are scared because they don't know how they are going to pay for heat this winter. We have family's with parents getting laid of because of the economy, and they do not know how they are going to feed their families........BUT....it's okay to pay a "mayor's assistant" $91,000.00???

He needs to wipe the $$$ out of his eyes and start caring for the people, NOT William Thibeault who has made Everett residents suffer, and gets away with it.

I meant it when I said I hope he can afford an air filtration system. All he is doing is moving a problem from one side of the city to the other. As just to say, the people on lower Broadway are insignificant. The people that bought those Charleston Chew Condos paid big bucks for those condos and it's not right to dump them with trash piles.

I would have much more respect if he stood up and said "I am not allowing him to move his piles of trash to lower Broadway, until the enclosure is built....AND...I am putting a cease and desist order on William Thibeault UNTIL he starts trucking those piles out of there.......as HE promised the residents. It's time to stop rewarding these money mongers that come into our city and DESTROY it. The Mayor needs to STOP making excuses for William Thibeault and do what's right and STOP fighting everyone that tries to ask a simple question.

Until he does that, I have no respect. He's allowing Thibeault to get away with murder in this city.

Donice, Sour Grapes???? You seem to have alot of compassion for our Mayor... Maybe you yourself are on his payroll... The house was mentioned because he has forgotten where he came from. The only person he cares about his himself and the (high paid)low lifes he surrounds himself with. He has sold out this entire City to a "DUMP" dealer. And tonights meeting shows that the Mayor is a liar... He tells people what they want to hear then gets pissed off if you question him on it. I was at S&S tonight and the smell was disguisting, but what does he care Thibeault was a big donor of his so he can look the other way. Bob VanCampen did a great job questioning him so good the Mayor couldn't keep his lies straight. Notice how he is always looking to his left and right or down never directly at the person speaking to him. He is a liar... His parents were so proud of him when he got in office I wonder if they know how deep the bulls*it has gotten.

Tonights meeting also talked about possible budget cuts and possible layoffs. Do you think Deveney, Navarra, Mystery Man Jamie Russo or Naimo are going to take a pay cut???? I doubt it instead the Mayor will layoff hard working Everett Residents that have served this City for many years while the Mayor pads the pockets of his out of town friends.

johnfounder if you read my post again you might notice that my first words were that the points you raised are reasonable. But you are so obvious in your personal attacks about the house that you discredit yourself.

I am not now and never have been an employee of the government and have never received one cent of any government benefit. I have been a taxpayer only. I am not interested in someones house unless there was some connection to taxpayer funds. If the house was built before he took office then it has no relevance. Except to someone jealous about it like yourself.

As I stated before the mayor can staff his office as he sees fit. If he chooses to overpay an outsider that's his decision. I happen to think it is the most important personal decision for the mayor to make. He could of had two people for the salary he pays his chief of staff. I don't even think she is qualified. But it his choice. Only someone jealous like yourself thinks this is an issue.

There are real issues in the city, the streets were cleaner for a time but not so much now. The roads are a mess. There are still to many illegal rooming houses. Wood Waste is also a valid issue.

I conclude that you are a disgruntled current or former city employee who has an axe to grind with the mayor. I doubt that you will talk about problems in the way city functions because you still are or were part of the problem.
