It's still for sale! This is the Alconada House

Dramatic $15,000 price adjustment on this truly beautiful 3 bdrm home on a corner lot w/ lots of parking. Kitchen has upgraded corian tile and fresh looking cabinets. New windows thoughout and bright polished hardwood floors. A Dutch Colonial in one of Everett's top areas and within walking distance to LaFayette School. Backyard relaxation on large 12 x 13 deck and family room in basement. You'll love this house!

Even the Realtor speaks "school committee" speak. A $15,000 price adjustment - not reduction?

why is he leaving?

or has he already left?

if he has already moved outside of Everett, can he keep his seat on the school committee?

I don't believe he's left, but if he moves out of the City, then no, he cannot keep his seat -- legally, at least. But "legally" is a loosely interpreted term to the School Committee.

That is quite obvious these days.

Is there no oversight of the school committee by a state agency? Court action? any agency?

There has to be something.......

To my knowledge, there is no state agency that would oversee the School Committee -- they're an elected body, so the only real recourse would be to come up with something that could reported to the State Ethics Commission. Technically . . . the voting public "oversees" the School Committee, and it seems that, but for those of us out here in blogland -- the voting public isn't all that concerned about the (in)actions of the School Committee.

Well people and pups, what did we expect?

Anaconda selling and Fast Freddie getting Mr. B back on board the freddie train. Now the spin will be, put Lona on the school committee..No, wait, make her a consultant, no, let her keep her job.

How long before Fred gets her the pension back?

I say, the pup should have pulled papers for the School committee, he would have got my vote. Tumblin was next in line for the job because of votes. But this is Everett and things never change for the best. Everytime I listen to Carlo speak, I get the WORST headache. Anyone else?

Any News, Wicked? Masterful1, Lona has not in fact, lost her pension yet. My understanding is that the pension board hasn't dealt with that topic yet, as Ms. DeFeo hasn't retired.

I voted for every non-incumbent school committee person that I could.

Carlo is a challenge to listen to, as is Cardello.

Court, thanks for the info.. I voted the same as you..Unfortunately, alot of people didn't realize that change could be established by way of the voting..They took into consideration about the Mayor's race but little esle..

Hope the New Year is good to you.

Just got an email. The complaint is "a work in progress". Ads will be in paper and phone number established for interested parties to get with like-minded folks. Was told others are moving forward with some exciting initiatives. Not a lot of details. Apparently I have a big mouth and am not getting all the details. Que cerra cerra. As I get it - you will.
