Since Paul said Mr Flood goes to all the Charter Commission meeting, it would be great if he would post about the meetings.

Good point Massdee.

I think Mr Flood left an e mail address during his correspondence with the city.

I am hoping he knows about this forum.

Paul, if you have his email address, maybe you could contact him and ask him to join this message board and post about the meetings?

Anyone read the Commentary in today's Leader Herald? It's about Charter Review and why the city should include "Recall" in the new charter? It's an interesting read.

Everyone is talking about this and in my opinion, it's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. It is also my opinion that the issue came to fruition right after there was overwhelming support to eliminate the Common Council and for a City Manager.

Although our charter was approved in 1892, I believe the city council can choose to adopt or reject this.....and they approved it. It went through the State Representatives, Stat Smith came up and spoke on it..... and it was signed off by the Governor. If I was on the commission, I would NOT take a lawyers WORD for it especially, one of ours. Get it in writing or keep going on with it. If members want to drop out, they should do so and make room for someone that wants to better the city. I would not let this happen and I think it's criminal if it does after the YEARS that went into this.

I just called/talked to 5 elected officals and they all said the same thing about tomorrow nite and the CC. I also called 2 members of the CC and each of them said "No comment come to the meeting" and that was it. If it is true, then good!!! I voted for the formation of it and I regreted that vote after seeing their first meeting.
