Okay, let me take these individually…..

Fran:
I respect your opinion but will keep my no list as it is for now. Based on personal contact with the three people you mention, I don’t see them necessarily working well as members of a team.

Are you talking about Dorothy Martin or Dorothy Martin Long? When was she on the school committee and common council? My kids were out of school when I moved here so I’ve never paid much attention to the school committee but I have paid attention to the cc & boa and I just don’t remember her. Maybe it was before I moved here…………

Tetris:
I don’t know anything about Michael Bono so I can’t help there.

From what I hear, the current administration is pretty lax about appointments so it’s very possible he’s still a participating member of the Planning Board even though his term has expired.

Lattanzi does own the hardware store and his wife works in the parking clerk’s office. He did get caught in Hanlon’s audit fiasco but Hanlon brought his wife onboard afte that so I’m calling that a wash.

Massdee:
I won’t hold campaign contributions against him since I believe it’s pretty standard for employees to make contributions. Many work both ends in an election year trying to ensure continued employment. And there are those who “work” for the incumbent while supporting his
opposition. Can’t say I blame them but it sure makes me glad my job isn’t at risk just because a new guy moves into the boss’ office!

So.................. my list remains the same for now!

What about Robert Sansone? He seems like a decent person for the job.

Justme - thank you for respectfully disagreeing with me. It's so refreshing compared to how people treat each other on the other blog. Dotty Martin served on the School Committee in the late 80's, early 90's and after that one term on the Common council representing Ward Two. Dotty Martin Long served in the mid to late 80's maybe even early 90s. I think she took a shot at Alderman at Large when Dave Ragucci ran for Mayor against McCarthy. I just can't remember who won that seat.

So are you saying no to both Dorothy Martin and Dorothy Martin Long? ........... I'm sorry to sound so dense but its easy to get them confused and I don't want to screw anything up!

Dorothy Martin Long was on the School Committee in the late 80's into the early 90's. I personally thought she was an asset to the School Committee. She was free thinking and didn't go along to get along. She has always been well respected.

Dorothy Martin is a different story.......and I will leave it at that.

Dotty Martin - no, Dotty Martin Long - yes. I would also give Mr. Sansone consideration.

I agree, Dotty Martin Long is a good selection. Also, Patty Foley will do a fair and honest job. She has no political reason to run; she just want to be able to do something for the city. She has no pre-judged ideals and has read and researched the Charter and forms of govt we can choose as an alternative. I think she will do a good job and should be given the chance to prove it.

This is as close to nine that I can seem to get:
Dorothy Martin Long
Stephen Bruce
Patricia Foley
Robert Sansone
Lisa Tufts

Patricia Foley and Lisa Tufts were recommended to me by a friend. I do not know them.

I changed my mind about Ron Keohan. I know someone here mentioned his potential and his background and a friend pretty much said the same thing, so he's back on the list.

Right now my yes'are:
Dorothy Martin Long
Ronald Keohan Jr.
Alfred Lattanzi

Possibles:
Patricia Foley
Doreen Kelly
Lisa M. Tufts
Robert E. Sansone

There will be videos beginning in early October which should give us more information. Hopefully, we'll get a better feel for how capable these people are and how willing/able they are to put it the time.
