#1 - I thought part of the reason that the water and sewer enterprise fund was put into place was so that money raised by the tax levy wouldn't be used to supplement water and sewer expenses.
#3 - I hope that some one asks about the employee buyback potion of this transfer. |

On item 8, I hope Billy Cardello is one to receive a citation for outgoing members.
I'm pretty sure Leo is referring to Skyzone in Everett. It's a lot of fun and all you have to do is look it up. Why have someone come up to explain? Explain what?

Tails,
Did you happen to see the sale of Billy Cardello's house in the real estate transaction listings in the Independent this week? If you follow the paper trail on the Registry of Deeds website, the house didn't actually sell until after the election; but there is also a Certificate of Municipal Lien (needed to prove that there are no taxes due on the property) that was requested in early October. As far as I'm concerned, a fraud was perpetrated on the voters of Ward 5.
Cardello should be stepping down Monday night or he should be forced out. If the other members of the Common Council allow him to be sworn in for another term, it will be a travesty. Cardello also owes Paul Schlosberg a public apology but I doubt that we'll ever see that.
Leo must have the CC meeting confused with a Chamber of Commerce meeting. I've heard a rumor that he is interested in the CC president's seat next year. Let's hope that the rest of the members are smarter than that. His attendance record alone should preclude him from consideration, let alone dumb items on the agenda like this one.
Kittycat,
Victor Dragone? Really? I still can't get the memory of his time as assistant city solictor out of my head. And not in a good way. I think that he'd be a very hard sell to the CC members that are still around from that time. |

Yes, I did see the sale of his house in the paper. I agree a fraud was perpetrated on the voters of ward 5. Someone else could have run a legit campaign and won. He took that right away from everybody. I also think the attitudes of others about it are appalling. If he does not step down I think the secretary of state need a call. I’m sure if he does there will be more dramatics just like he did about Paul Schlosberg. Regardless how anyone feels about Paul Schlosberg, I guess he was proven right! |

I think it is a disgrace that he has put his fellow councillors in the position of having to choose a replacement and not the voters. They will receive calls from those wanting the position and if the voters of the ward are not happy, it will reflect negatively on them. |
