Hi all been long time not being on the air.
I'm still trying to get a LPFM license for a radio station here in Everett and surrounding Medford Malden, Revere Somerville, Melrose and maybe other close towns with a 5 mile radius or more.
Its been frustrating with the fcc not issuing any license lately.
My goal was to have a no-profit community station based in Everett and for other towns that are in the 5-6 mile radius. This most likely will not happen with the fcc license.
So I am thinking of getting back on the air with the internet streaming of wevr radio- with oldies of the 50s 60s 70s, Talk radio-weather -news and community service news and announcements. Free advertising, political talk of surrounding towns, figures and city governments. There will be no bashing/bad mouth of people and personal lives. Just straight up clean talk of todays local news, sports and weather.
Again there will be music and an oldies night of call in request and contest of guessing the name and artist of the song.
all request will be by AOL instant messenger/email/phone.
the web page is back up hosted on another site as Comcast stopped hosting web pages about 6 months ago.
Im still working on the page You must be logged in to see this link. as it still has comcast info and at this
time no internet hosting.
email addy wevr-radio@comcast.net is still the same if you want to email and ask questions
the phone # will be the same just the url to listen in on the show.
The times and days might change also.
I'm just putting out this feeler as I did the last time to see if i would have any listeners.
I ran into some time restrictions last go around and was not able to get on the air on the time I listed.
So this time I'm going to give it my best and get Everett on the map with its own internet Radio station.
**This station will in no way be affiliated legally with the city of Everett and other surrounding towns. This station will be owned and operated by me and funded by me personally. With the internet radio I can be more Liberal in what is said but this will be a family oriented station.
I have a streaming hosting company in mind and will offer a free app for all android devices but not for apple at this tile but you can use any media player and on the apple devices just click on the url and start listening.
You will be able to listen in you car/truck/vehicle just hook up to your ipod input on car radio and oldies music/talk radio you will hear.
Boston does not have any local oldies radio with local news/weather/happenings in the community.
So in a few weeks I hope to be back on the air and with WEVR RADIO
Remember web page I'm still working to get it updated.
No legal affiliation with the city of Everett and surrounding towns
This is all free with the funding and time paid by me
Free advertising at this time!!
***Please feel free to ask any questions and please no need to ruin a good thing that other people might want. I know I will here some negative feedback but hope most will be positive.
