Let's just hope that meetings of a single branch city government will be a step above the dreck that we've being seeing lately from the soon to be extinct bicameral system. The city council meetings from the last two weeks have been just been brutal and totally embarrassing. I wonder how many of our "esteemed" legislators pulled papers today for the new city council?

I imagine the majority of our elected officials are trying to figure out what they'll "lose", if they retire under the new charter versus doing it now. We all know that most of our council members are more interested in what they can get out of the city than what they can give the city............

You mean the school members that surrounded him around his car, word on the street, it was BD DE JL AP. One Member called him and was horrified in how they acted and was so very sorry. Nice to attack a 84 year old person. Elder Law should be applied here.

I read about this in the paper today & was horrified, but not really surprised. In the 20+ years I've lived in this city, I've come to expect the worst from people & am usually on the money...........

What I didn't understand, is why Sal wrote a letter to Chief Mazzie. Send one to the school committee, or an open letter in the paper would make more sense to me. What am I missing?
