I was down at the square this morning and notice that cancun has open their doors that awful yellow building in the square other than the building the trash that is in the parking lot is unacceptable for this city and what's up with the parking of cars where signs are posted "No Parking" oh I forgot we are not in america anymore and to top it all off what's up with the dumpster next to the door its so far out that I had a hard time making the left turn off norwood street and I drive a SUV with the dumpster sitting right there where the entrance is located and the handicapp parking spaces cars have to plaque cards or plates I hope the mayor and his so called administration takes care of this problem fast.

I can see in the warm weather Rodents will be hanging around there in the near future.

Yes, I agree. Two legged ones as well. Some one should call the Board of Health.

Better call your city council members, too. Ward 5 - Alderman Robert Van Campen, Alderman at Large, Carlo DeMaria, and Common Council members Lori Bruno, William Cardello, and Rosa DiFlorio. Their phone numbers are in the book.

That area in back is city property. That dumpster cannot remain there.

does anyone out here know if the cancun can serve beer and wine at 930 in the morning who does one call for the license to see if they can. And the dumpster is still there and filled they better move it when they were on ellsworth street they had no dumpster they used to put their trash out like normal people

I believe that's the city's licensing commission that decides that. I don't know who's on it now. I imagine the previous commission had been disbanded, as have most of the commissions, but whether Hanlon's appointed new people or not, I don't know. But . . . the restaurant has to have the license posted where the public can see it.

Are you against new business?

Isn't the Hanlon administration embracing the new immigrant population? He should, within five years there will be a minority Mayor.

Why deny a minority business the right to compete with other existing establishments?

I have to agree. While I haven't gotten a chance to partake of the Cancun cuisine as of yet, (I assume it is Mexican food so I will certainly try it) The Brazialian place across the street is FANtastic. The prices are right and the lunchtime buffet is some great meat. With McKinnon's up the street and the Brazilian restaurants in town, Everett has the best beef, cooked and uncooked, in the area.
