Anthony Philip Russo, Sr. (March 26, 1926 - November 15, 2009)
Anthony Philip Russo, Sr. U.S. Veteran RUSSO, Anthony P., Sr. of Winchester, formerly of Everett, entered into rest on Sunday, November 15, 2009 in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 83 years of age. Born in Natick, Anthony resided in Winchester with his family. He was an educator in the Everett public school system for over 41 years retiring as the principal of the former Devens School in Everett. Beloved husband of Brenda L. (Lewey)Russo. Dear and devoted father of Anthony P. Russo, Jr. and his wife, Alysia of Tewksbury. Brother of Philip Russo, Jr. of W. Yarmouth and Letty Russo of Malden. Loving grandfather of Anthony J. “AJ” Russo. Funeral from the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Thursday morning at 8:30. Funeral Mass in St. Eulalia’s Church, 50 Ridge St., Winchester, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. Late Marine Corps veteran of WW II. Contributions in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be sincerely appreciated. Late member of the Saugus-Everett Lodge of Elks, #642, E Club of Everett, REAM and Retired Municipal Employee’s Association and the American Legion.
