Dear Everett Average Citizen Community,
A little more than 4 years ago, I recognized the opportunity to provide a forum for debate to the online community of Everett. I had no idea how popular it would become, but I am proud to say that it has exceeded my wildest expectations. I believe that maintaining a neutral position and being open minded as an administrator allowed for this site to mature into something I never could have created on my own. The reason this worked so well is all of you. By contributing your views publicly, privately, anonymously and overtly, we have all been rewarded with a very informative site that has brought to light issues important to every member of society. As a non native Everett resident, I depended upon all of you to inform me, and in turn, I was able to play a part in informing others. I was also better able to make an informed decision at the polls and at city meetings, and I hope we played some part in improving the lives of others.
The reason for this post is to introduce the new administrator. Both regular and casual contributors are all familiar with Tails, who had been a member since 2007 and is one of the most active members on the board with more than 1750 contributions. Tails has agreed to take over the reins of the site and will also assume the bbeverettma account. I no longer live in Everett and as time has passed I have become less able to contribute to the conversation, so I have been looking for a candidate for some time now. I am proud that Tails has taken up the cause and I have the utmost confidence in our new administrator.
I am pleased to say the the transition has been finalized, although I am sorry to be leaving a position that I have enjoyed greatly for the past four years. If anyone wishes to correspond further, my email address remains mikebilica@gmail.com
