MOVEC stands for Massachusetts Online Veterans Event Calendar. With the ever increasing amount of assistance available to veterans and the exchange of information that drives such service, it is the hopes of MOVEC to provide you a single view site that can help you schedule, plan, and coordinate your veterans related event. This is a work in progress that has no specific formality to it and is being provided by private means, not associated with any local, state, federal or non profit entity. It is simply meant to make things easier.
A few highlights: You'll see the main calendar page upon arrival at MOVEC. There are also pages for questions on Contact MOVEC tab and a mission statement can be found on the About MOVEC tab. MOVEC also provides links that will help you "find a venue" get updated information traveling to and from Logan Airport, view a live radar flight tracking screen of Logan, find ground transportation around Massachusetts, Information on the MBTA, Hotels.com, and listings for local taxi services. Soon to come will be a posting board where we will upload your event flyer for use by other service providers and consumers.
I hope you will find this to be a useful tool towards planning, scheduling, coordinating, and delivering information your organization may have regarding seminars, events, parties, fund raisers, continuing education units.... if you think it relates to a bona fide veterans cause..... I'll include it. I also welcome any suggestions you may have to further enhance the functions and content of the site towards the end goal of coordinating the exchange of information to better assist our veteran population and the families that support them.
