I just hope that they look at the cheapest available options, and that the bidding process is done correctly for what companies get awarded these jobs. It would be nice if some of that 2 million dollars of city money gets returned back to the taxpayers. |

I heard through the little bird at sunrise today that the city of everett lost the grant money for the stadium, cause no one in the kings office didn't file paper work on time, does anyone know if this is true or just another rumor in the city of everett, if it is true great legal team working for us lmao |

Is that true? If it is, how would the city afford for this to go forward? |

I saw a slide on ECTV last night that stated the stadium work was scheduled to start yesterday and the Spring Street parking lot will be closed for the duration of the project. |

I was on Spring Street yesterday and the parking lot had a lot of cars parked in there. I figured something must have been going on at the Connolly Center. I didn't notice anything going on in the stadium but I wasn't looking for it either. Yesterday's weather may have delayed it too. |

I GUESS WE ARE BUYING BLEACHERS. FOR WHAT, 3 MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR? DOES THIS MAKE SENSE? RENT THEM, IT"S MUCH CHEAPER.
AS WE ALL KNOW IT'S AN ELECTION YEAR. |

Anybody drven by the stadium lately? I can't dispute that it's not the going price but $279,000 doesn't seem to buy you a whole lot.
And I love the way that the local papers compute the payback on this investment. At least the last rwo years, the bleachers have cost no more than $24K, not the $50K that one of the papers used. And the School Department's half of the rental payment really won't be a savings because it has been taken from money that they are required by law to spend on education every year. |
