Hello all. I just wanted to say that I know I haven’t been on this blog since about late August/early September. My mother got very sick with pneumonia and then I got laid off from my job. However, some good news: my mother is doing much better, I’ve found a job, and I’ve been in the process of moving out of state to my new job in New Jersey.
I’ve lived in Everett my whole life and the city has changed and I don’t think for the better. Some of it is to blame on our elected officials and their decisions, or lack their of, however, other things were just out of their control. I have a lot of good memories of the city and those are the ones I would like to remember. I remember going to the Park Theater, Max’s Bowling, the Old IC Hall (near the Park Theater), Razz’s Pool Hall, all the old corners that were around when I was kid, etc. I can go on and on.
I just wanted to say a final goodbye to everybody. I didn’t want make my own “Goodbye Post” so I figured I would do it here. Whether or not I agreed or disagreed with you, you were all very informative, sparked debate, and really opened a healthy discussion on a variety of topics. I ask you all to keep up the good work. I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving, and I hope you all have a Merry Christmas (not Happy Holidays), and a Happy, Prosperous New Year.
