| I heard the same thing. This is either fraudulent fundraising or even larceny by false pretenses. The money was donations. There are laws about this. |

Maybe it's me, but I'm not following. I've seen people sharing this link on facebook today. Did Officer Gaff resign from the force?
IMHO (and I could be wrong) it sounds to me like wearing two hats, like I think John Field is.

Any current Everett police officer involved in falsifying this event and asking the public for money, should be reprimanded for misconduct at least. So should Steve Mazzie for that matter! He has no control over his police force because he's never there. That's why we need a new chief and shame on CARLO for making his appointment political again. Mazzie should have told his officers no, they cant use City of Everett Police department's name in their advertisement's. They never should have gotten the public involved and did it amongst themselves if they wanted. Anything to squander money from the working stiffs.
