With a snow storm fast approaching, the City is actively preparing its efforts for snow removal and emergency measures in advance. Mayor DeMaria would like to remind residents of the ordinance regarding snow regulations and parking restrictions.
As always, there is no parking permitted on main arteries during a parking ban. Main arteries include Chelsea, Hancock, Nichols, Norwood, Lawrence, Bellrock, Broadway, Main, Elm, Ferry, Bucknam, High, Garland, and Alpine. On secondary streets cars must park on the odd side of the street.
Once the decision has been made to declare a snow emergency, the information will be made available to residents through robo phone calls, postings on ECTV channel 22, and by the activation of the blue emergency lights along main arteries.
The Mayor and his administration thank all residents in advance for their cooperation..
