I decided to remove the "Turkey" Topic Thread, due to its tone of being a personal attack.
I took this from the welcome thread in Forum Announcements
Here is what this forum is:
This forum is open to anyone.
It is here to help improve the political process and share information.
This forum is here permanently.
It is a channel for everyone in the community to express their right of free speech without fear of being cut off or banned for political orientation.
This is a place where rumors and facts will both fuel debate, but hopefully facts will prevail in the end.
Here is what this forum is not:
This forum is not a sounding board for your humble host to drive his own political agenda.
This is not a place to issue slanderous or personal attacks or threats against other members or anyone else.
Lets try to keep the bar high everyone.

Michael, It is about time that was removed. You should seriously think about removing the other items that he/she wrote. They don't say anything about anything anyway. |

It looks to me like in those posts, janeen was basically speaking volumes about things with very little substance. Since janeen wasn't breaking any anonymity or being libelous in her posts (as far as I can tell) I let these posts stand. I think allowing such posts to remain keeps a record of the kind of user someone is and says something towards credibility of when the user posts again. In my experience as a long time forum user and poster over the past 15 years, I have found that leaving the openings for people to stick their foot in their mouth makes for the most vibrant online discussions. After all, it is the users and their own online personas that keep a board going, not the board owner policing posts.
That being said, I noticed a strong negative reaction to the Recreation director resignation thing. From my relatively naive perspective not being aware of the event Janeen is referring to, I actually thought the residency question was a valid one. I will chek up on it now, though. The other two posts look more like pointless banter. It seems like janeen has petered out a bit, but I'm glad to see you are still here Lynda.
