The past year marked School Superintendent Fred Foresteire's victory over darkness. He ended an almost three-year fight to clear his name and to retain his position against forces who were determined to prove him a thief. The superintendent is no thief, a conclusion the superior court reached following an extremely long period of close scrutiny. He retains his position, his authority, his dominance and control of the Everett School Department, which, to our way of thinking, is good news for the thousands of children attending public schools. There were many here who questioned Foresteire's innocence or guilt but few questioned his absolute devotion to his job and his duty to provide the best public school education possible for Everett's children. Everett's public schools are better because of Foresteire's understanding of how the education world turns here. He has consistently caused Everett school children to be noticed and singled out far beyond their comparative numbers. In sports, especially in football, Everett's performance is the stuff of an ongoing miracle, with Foresteire's imprint all over the success. I wish him the best in the year to come. Well writtem article in the Newspaper. All the best to him.

The Pup and I think Freddy should run for Mayor.
He does so much for our City, he couldn't lose.

Lynda . . . you can't be serious. This has to be a joke, right? I mean, this is all just tongue in cheek . . .
Victory over darkness!? Indeed. I'm not sure why it needs to be continually pointed out that the Superintendent was made to pay a fine, that he pled out to "sufficient facts", and that only if he manages to keep clear of the law for a year will the charges against him be dropped. That is NOT a proclamation of innocence.
Emile . . . surely you jest, my friend. |

Lynda you just copied and pasted that from the Independent article right? If you really feel that way about FFF you have been living in a cave. I am hoping you were showing us Josh Resnick's lack of intelligence. He knows nothing about what he writes about. I think he must question one person and write articles. They are always one sided. My fish is too good for his paper.

Of course I jest, Friend Citizen....with tongue very firmly planted in cheek, as usual....
Methinks that milady Lynda does not jest.....but that perhaps she is enamored by the dominance of FFF.
The way this city is going downhill, FFF for mayor would just be another downward step on the stairway to receivership........
FFF controls the puppet administration now.
Perhaps FFF is the Mayor already....

Oh, thank goodness. I feared I had entered some parallel universe where FFF was truly admired and respected instead of feared and secretly reviled. Thank you, my friend, for setting my mind at ease.
Lynda, if this is truly how you feel out the Superintendent, along with your consistent defense of the director of the Recreation Department, you really should market those rose colored glasses of yours. |

Koolaid? I am thirsty, please give me more. LOL.. FFF is large and in charge, only in his mind. This city needs a whole new revamping. Everything is not coming up roses the way Honest (tongue planted firmly in cheek)John would have us believe. How many of his promises has he actually broken so far?
VERY disheartening. I hope the new year brings you all health, happiness and prosperity. Peace to all. I hope Santa was good to that wonderful pup Emile. I just love his sense of humor. |

Oh Masterful One,
The Pup asked me to "paws" from my research and thank you for the kind words. The Pup always is treated well by Saint Nick.
The Pup feels that because the city is going to the dogs, it may be time for him to run for Mayor.
Ciao

The Pup may be on to something, Emile, and I'm sure you'd make a fine campaign manager.
