| It was a while ago, I was trying to get my dads SS#, and I am pretty sure it was through the SS Administration. I do remember it was through the government. |

For a fee there are many private investigative resources on the Web that will provide all kinds of personal information, including criminal history, SS numbers, credit rating, family members, address, etc.
Well worth the $$ if there is the need for the info.

Some of these must be paid services, though, right Lynda? I mean . . . kind of like hiring a private detective.
I look at this list, and we wonder why the federal government can't get a handle on illegal immigration? |
