They just announced that tomorrow there will be a 1 hour delay in opening of schools due to the cold.
Just thought you would give you guys a heads up.

Don't they heat the schools? Why delay opening it? Just crank the HEAT!! Oh,wait a minute, I'm thinking logically again.

The heat in the high school is always so high it is sickening. I realize it is an old system and they probably crank it up in order fro any heat to heat the top floors. The boys wearing shorts to school is not a fashion statement :) My kids will be thrilled to get an extra hour to sleep. Thanks for the info!

I am Sooooooo sorry to you all.
My daughter received a web-site link from one of her friends and it had the Fox 25 News header on this page and it stated that Everett as well as many other MA cities had a 1 hour delay with No after school activities. It looked like it was on the Up and Up. When I didn't see it on the morning news that there was a delay I called the school department to ask and the woman said that she had gotten numerous calls today about this web-site listing this and that she didn't know where it came from. I forwarded it to her and she was going to have FFF look into it.
Again I apologize deeply for any parent that read this post and sent their kids in late.

This is true massdee, but from a parents point of view I can tell you my kids weren't happy when I called the school department to inquire about this and found it not to be true. Not a good morning here.

I got up this morning and watched the news for a few minutes and realized school was not delayed. No big deal Lynda.
