Did anyone have some kids selling or trying to give away free car washes all day today ?
They rang my bell at 2pm, 530pm 700pm. All three times I told them I wasnt interested. They were still on my small street of about 20 houses at 8pm.
I called the police 1212 number to report it ... they acted like they havent got any calls about this?

| I am right off the main road and was home all day. Didn't get anyone at the door trying to sell anything. You may want to keep a eye out in your neighborhood tonight in case they were casing the area. Sad we have to think that way but, better safe than sorry. |

| Right on, Lynda. There was news some time ago about the folks soliciting magazines and coupons that were allegedly robbing folks, and in at least one case, raped a young girl who was home alone. Definitely be careful. |

| A couple of nights ago, we had a Vacuum cleaner saleman ring the door bell around 6pm. My spouse answered the door, said he wasn't carrying anything on him like papers/suitcase. Makes you wonder. Said he was late 50's - 60ish. Live near the High school |

| We are in the process of cleaning out our cellar, had some stuff near our trash to be put out on our trash day. Someone rang my bell and wanted to remove the trash for us. Found this odd because everything that was there were things the trash company would pick up. The next day my door bell rang again, a different person, wanting to know if we would be interested in selling some Christmas decorations we hadn't taken down yet. This was in the middle of January. I'm between Broadway and Ferry Street, the Springs area. |

I live off of Main street near the store 24.
there was 4 of them 2 girls and 2 guys they wearing bright orange and yellow jackets and 1 girl in a black peacoat style coat.
I just found it strange since they kept going back to the houses and not all of them would stand on the porch at the same time. One would stand on the sidewalk about 2 houses away.
Lynda ... I was thinking the same thing about casing the houses thats why I called the police . |

| Makes me wonder about that too...I am lucky that I know most of my neighbors, we all try to watch out for each other..Thank you unknown for the info for all of us to be aware of what is happening in our neighborhoods. |
