The Mayor could at least speak on the actions of FFF. Ragucci at least did that.

All people are looking for from Mayor Hanlon, Keanu, is something resembling a spine. Evil will exist as long as one good man stays silent. Why did Mayor Hanlon hide the letter from the IG instead of having it sent to the city council? |

Actually, I supported Mayor Hanlon on all three of his runs for the Mayors Office, and I supported Mayor McCarthy before that. I have never supported the Ragucci Administration. I am disappointed in the job performance of Mayor Hanlon. I absolutely do not have a personal vendetta against the Mayor. I know the Mayor cannot get rid of Fred, but he could have and should have admonished Fred, when he received this letter from the IG. I also put the blame on Mr Alconada, he "is" in a position to do something about Fred and choses to look the other way. |

Exactly massdee. I too suported Hanlon. We need a Mayor who will stand up for the taxpayers of this city. Ragucci at least did that with FFF.

Keanu, you seem to have your own agenda here defending the indefensible. Who sent you? Hanlon, Freddie, or Janice? |

Seems to be a lot of ex- Hanlon supporters here. I am admittedly a little biased as a Ragucci loyalist but what did you all see that made you want to depose the previous mayor? He did a damn good job as far as I can tell. It must have been boredom or the always looking for something better concept. He made no big time blunders like this current bunch in control and had the guts to take on FFF. Stoneham's gain is Everett's loss. |

Middle-Man 1, Voting for Hanlon was a huge mistake and I have regretted from almost day one. I can't tell you how many times I have wished Dave Ragucci was still in office. I really don't know if I was so much a Hanlon supporter or just a leftover McCarthy supporter. I agree, I don't think any mayor in history has made the blunders this person has. It also appears that there are a lot of us former Hanlon supporters out there. We really need a change. |

I wanted a change and boy did I get that LMAO I thought Ragucci's job had gone to his head. I still do not know if I was wrong about that. I do not think I want Ragucci back. I want someone not associated with all of the BS in this city who will just do the job with some integrity.

That's a great thought Sally, but I don't see it as a realistic possibility. However................. we can always hope (pray) we'll get lucky! |

The reality of it all is, everyone is connected to someone. They don't get that far in city government without making allies and enemies along the way. We can hope that our next Mayor will watch out for the taxpayers instead of themselves and their cronies, and no more lies. |

Sally
It's funny you say that Sally. The last time I spoke with Dave Ragucci he told me how nice it was to be able to do his job without all the BS that went along with being mayor in Everett. I think he did his job with integrity and I would love to have him back though I know it is'nt going to happen. Why would he want to come back? Better pay and no backstabbing up in Stoneham. Just people who want a good job from the guy in charge. They'll get a good job from Dave I'm sure. Hindsight being 20/20 I can't imagine why you would'nt want him back also. |

Ragucci did a good job. People seem to forget that Ragucci built schools one with problems, a new city yard, new ball fields and more passive parks. He rebuilt streets and sidewalks and a new common in the square. All he got for it were rumors of how the FBI was investigating him. Now comes real thieves (hanlon and ravs and company)who want to blame everything on Ragucci. He left them 11 million to spend and they blew it all. Hanlon has done nothing but try to divert the attention of the taxpayers so they can rob the city blind. |

I'd bring David back in a heartbeat! I was a big McCarthy supporter and had no use for David but, after a few ,I had to face the facts and admit he was doing a good job. After a few more, I even found out I liked him. And, the year he asked all his department heads to take a week off WITHOUT pay, I knew we were dealing with someone who understood how important it is to pay attention to the bottom line. |

I will say he did a better job than Hanlon. I just think we need new blood in this city. Not the same old same old. Nothing personal, I wish David luck in Stoneham.

Hmmmmm. Change for the sake of change, Sally - gave us the administration of John Hanlon. I plan to be very thoughtful about this. |
