Word is that Coach Dib called a meeting last night and announced that he is not returning to coach in the fall. I am dying to hear what happened or if he just decided to take the big bucks and move on. I cannot blame him for that. Everett High football will never be the same.

From what I can gather from some of the players, he was upset that so many seniors would not be eligible to play because of absences and grades. They were told they would get no special treatment this up coming season.

| Well lets face it, they shouldn't get any special treatment. No one is doing them any favors in life by letting them just slip through their High School years. They still would have to pass the MCAS to graduate would they be able to do so without any knowledge? Never mind just the MCAS but life in general. |

Was he upset with the seniors, or upset that the system will no longer give them a pass? If that's his reason for leaving, then that's very disappointing. I'd like to think he'd care more about the students achieving on all levels, not just the playing field.

| Oh, Coach Dib is not just a coach....he is a director of the Athletics program and I think they've tacked on another title to boost his salary. He makes well into the 90K range. |

| Coach Dib is well paid, as is his wife. He gets raises that the rank and file only dream of in the sweetest of slumber. I had hoped he was tired of working for the ethically challenged superintendent, but perhaps not. |
