Well if that was the criteria we would not have had the last mayor either , just a thought.

You all talk abou this like it is fact. Have you checked the court records? I had a false suit brought against me a few years ago as retaliation. The case was thrown out and the person was warned she would be arrested if she continued to use the court to harass me.

Oh my God! What the hell is wrong with you people? This City is going to pot and we actually have someone looking to try and restore it and you SLANDER him and his family. Grow up! It appears that NOTHING was ever proven to be true or he would have stood trial for it. Some say he hits on every woman he sees... Well he never hit on me :( !!!!! |

I'm more concerned with the alleged association with David Ravanesi than I am about any alleged womanizing. Any candidate that allows Ravanesi to glom onto him/her will not have my vote. |

I think we can show a little sensitivity for the family, although I don't recall the candidate showing any sensitivity towards Barrios' family during the senate race. His name was practically synonymous with "dirty politics." You must be logged in to see this link. Karma's a funny thing.
That said - I still think EVERY candidate should provide a resume of qualifications and a background check. No more smile and a handshake. With the city in the shape that it's currently in, wouldn't it be nice if one of the local papers asked that of each candidate? Along with a list of the city ills, and a description by each candidate as to how he would tackle the problem?

The only candidate that I have seen people holding signs to date is Joe supporters. They are at Glendale square every morning when I pass through. Kinda gives you a good feeling inside knowing that someone, anyone, will be soon taking over the corner office! |

Wow. I guess I was right, all you McGonaguccis are getting desperate. Court4Fred I forgot to mention that I don't like people who think that they are smarter than everyone else. Go ahead and feel free to deconstruct this comment. Deconstruct, I like that word, it's a nice way to say, twist the truth or the facts to make a point. Intelligent people don't have to resort to insults and slander to make a point.
Remember "Karma's a funny thing."

Donice - it is regrettable that you feel the need to respond with spite. I think if you review each one of my comments - you will find nothing slanderous or insulting; it was pretty well fact based. Please - do review. Additionally, you never answered my very first question: identify any observable executive-level ability that I may have missed. This is your chance to change minds and hearts.

Carlo is a nice guy, but I don't think he's got what it takes and I'm VERY concerned with the Ravanesi issue.............. |

What Ravanesi issue ??? There is no "Ravanesi" issue, you are creating one to try and jeopardize Carlo. Stop starting rumors, unbelievable. Carlo has been working real hard, I have seen him. Enough with the B.S., the candidates should all run clean, honest campains and let the voters decide in Sept.

I still think Carlo and Joe will knock Hanlon out of the race in the Primary. Then the real campaign will begin. |

Welcome back massdee............. you were missed.
I completely agree with you on the primary. Carlo & Joe are sure to run away with it!
Red11; The only candidate I would even think of jeopardizing is hanlon but, he's done such a good job, he doesn't need my help!
I am not trying to jeopardize Carlo. I know he's working hard, but that has nothing to do with any potential involvement with Ravanesi. I am very concerned because I was told (by a person I trust completely) Ravanesi had been spending a lot of time talking to Carlo. I'm hoping Carlo is smart enough not to get sucked in, but I'd like clarification that Rav is not, and will not be, part of Carlo's campaign. Rav is apparently on vacation right now (not sure if he's working too hard (LOL) or just trying to distance himself from hanlon)
Is Joe not putting up signs? I see DeMaria signs and, of course, hanlon, but no McGonagle. What's the deal? |

Yes I have been starting to see McGonagle signs around all of a sudden. Carlo is beginning to make himself seen standing out waving to us passer bys in Glendale Square. |
