I also received the mailer and was impressed by it and what impressed me even more was the fact that I did fill it out and sent it and Carlo called my home, not a recording, to Thank us for doing so.

I just read this on The Mirror, I find it troubling.

I would like to see a list of the mayoral campaign contributors for each candidate.

I hear Mr. DeMaria has received a very large contribution (6 figures ) from someone that Mr. DeMaria promised to allow a dump to be let in on lower Broadway? Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Who is Mr. Thibeault?

Is it true, that Mr DeMaria has been seen with Mr. Ravanesi and Ms. Vetrano outside of city hall?

You need to look at the source. The mirror has an overabundance of rumor, innuendo, speculation, and lies. The credibility of many posts on that site is definitely lacking.

I can tell you what I know, this person approached one of the other candidates and was told, "I can't be bought, take your money somewhere else." I have known about this for months.

What we need is a debate for all the candidates to attend so that we may ask them of these accusations, associations, etc... It should be viewed on channel 16 for all to see as well as anyone wanting to attend being able to do so. Enough with the rumors and such I want to know who is going to do what for my sinking City.

I don't think Carlo's idea to "better" the city is to put a dump on lower broadway. If you have concerns I would call Carlo myself @ his headquarters and ask him his about this.

I agree with Lynda, there are way too many rumors, it is becoming sickening. Let them debate to publicly clarify everything.

I, too, would like to see some type of public forum for the candidates. It could be most informative and help the voters to know exactly where all the candidates stand on the issues.

Unfortunately, I don't think there are any organizations left in the city who would host a debate. At one time the Knights of Columbus did a local candidates forum where the audience could submit questions and the moderator would choose the questions to ask. That was a long time ago, though, and I don't think there has been anything since.

Couldn't we just have it at City Hall? Do you have to have it hosted? Than like you said we could just submit questions and have a moderator there to ask them and put it live on the ECTV station. I don't know the answer to any of this could someone fill me in?

Could one of the candidates try to put something like this together or would that seem like a conflict of interest?

Lynda, I'm not sure something like that could be held in a public building but I could be wrong.

I say have our NOW Mayor put it together. It definitely can't hurt him, I think he has brought himself well beyond that.

it would be best if there was an independent group that could sponsor a candidates forum. I remember those "Meet the Candidates" forums that Citizen was talking about at the Knights. I attended many of them and found them most informative. I wonder if the Elks would be interested in something like that?

I would love to view a debate between them because I am at this point undecided. I only know who I DO NOT want in the corner office.
