Tomorrow night at this time we will have a New Mayor. Let's just wait and see. I know who I want as well as others have their support pretty concrete at this time. Nothing more could be said to change anyones mind at this point. |

I have stayed out of all this stuff from over the weekend. I just left Joe and I can tell you first hand none of it happened. Joe had been ill at home from late Friday morning on. He had planned to go to the Everett High game Friday night and when he was called at 6:00 PM to be picked up he was too sick to go. I know the person who went to Joe's home and checked on him Friday night and stayed with him for several hours and then went back again on Saturday morning. When he left on Saturday morning, Joe's secretary went down to bring him some food and she became worried and drove him to the Melrose Wakefield Hospital ER. He absolutely was NOT in a fight. He was diagnosed and was able to leave the hospital several hours later. He is on antibiotics and has to watch what he eats. Do you really want to know what is really troubling about all this, someone had the audacity to call Joe's elderly, ill mother and tell her he was in the hospital and it was due to a bar fight. I am personally disgusted with everything that has been posted since Saturday, here and on The Mirror. You want to talk about dirty politics, this is about as low as it gets. |

At the end of the day, friends, there is no "high ground" in a moral swamp.
Glad to see you, Emile, it's been too long. Where've you been? You've been missed tremendously. Give my regards to the pup.
MassDee - have you had a chance to take care of the photos? Evidently, Taylor was quite offended by the photos of Ms. Alba.
I feel terribly for Joe's mother; it's sad that the poor woman couldn't be left in peace.
Tails - three of us were asked to be moderators for this very reason; to keep people from treading into libelous territory. Although I've been fairly lenient with Taylor, and understanding given her pending unemployment - enough was enough. Despite frequent warnings over the last few months, she finally strayed where angels should fear to tread. She has not been banned, however.
If you would like to be a moderator, please feel free to contact Michael Billica. |

Court, as soon as I became aware of those pictures, I deleted the topic. I want to thank Citizen for bringing it to my attention. |

The proprietor who was probably paid off to shut his mouth. They serve kids in there, they are not upstanding citizens.

Yeah, Sally - there are a lot of those "upstanding citizens" on and off the board, aren't there? |

Sally, I happen to know the proprietor, and I can tell you, you don't know what you're talking about. You decry people coming out making inappropriate commentary about Carlo, but you come out here accusing private citizens of illegal behavior? Where's your moral high ground? |

If McGonagle and Marchese were "new found friends", Tails, I'd agree with you, but they've been friends for years. The postings by Taylor had nothing to do with Marchese's vendetta against the chief.
I can say that it was not an easy decision to delete Taylor's comments, but her statements were so egregious and so impossible to verify, we felt we had no choice. Court did not unilaterally make this decision. The two of us debated it this afternoon. If you're unhappy with the decision, feel free to appeal it to Michael. |

Citizen, it's almost over and I am hoping the "board" will get back to normal, after the next few days. I miss the good old days, out here. Remember that night we all did a walk down memory lane? That was a fun night of posting. |

That was a fun night, massdee. Perhaps you're right, and at this time tomorrow night . . . or the next day . . . we can go back to having fun.
Good luck to all tomorrow!! |

Sorry you felt I was being "nasty" Tails but I'm tired of all the fighting, backbiting, rumors, and trash talk. This was, as Massdee and Citizen just mentioned, a nice place to visit until we acquired a lot of new members who came along to stir things up and cause trouble.
We were a pretty agreeable group and [generally] enjoyed adding to our number. Once this election is over, it will be interesting to see who actually joins the "family" and who disappears until the next election............... |

Citizen, my son was served in that bar. And he was not the only one.

Neither of my sons would have dared set foot in a bar before they were old enough............... Who are you blaming Sally? The bar or the boy? |

Oh, I blame both. What kind of a question is that? Who would you blame. And that is wonderful that your children are perfect, mine I am happy to say are not.
