Well, John Krysovich, the new old city solicitor, erected the Great Wall of China between City Government and the School Committee. While the power is vested in the school committee, it would be reasonable to think that city government might have something to say about the school committee keeping a convicted felon on the payroll. Smith...who asked for a vote on asking the school committee to terminate Lona DeFeo, didn't receive a second from his brave brethren aldermen. RVC lept to the defense by asking for more information, because after all, "we don't want to put anyone's head in a guillotine tonight." Very interesting choice of words by Mr. Van Campen.

Who's head was he referring to? DeFeo's? It's hardly putting her head into a guillotine . . . for Heaven's sake, the woman pleaded guilty. She sealed her own fate.
Was he referring to himself and his fellow Board members? Are they fearful of having Fred's support for them (or their family members) chopped off at the neck?
An interesting choice of words indeed.
There's been a blade used here, that's for sure, but I don't think it was aimed at the neck. I think it was aimed a little lower . . . |

Mr. Van Campen has certainly compromised his integrity tonight.
I am sorry for Stat.
Too bad the rest of the Board of Aldermen has NO BALLS!
Apoligies about that, but I'm very upset.
After tonight I'm sorry I voted for certain individuals, very, very sorry....
