PAPERS FROM THE COMMON COUNCIL 1. C0338-07 Order/s/Councilor Sal DiDomenico, as President To accept the gift of $100.00 from the Vietnam Veterans Association & Iron Workers Local 7 to the Veterans Department Gift Account. (Passed sent up for concurrence)
2. C0339-07 Order/s/Councilor Sal DiDomenico, as President To accept the donation of $550.00 from Mayor John F. Hanlon to be deposited into the City's General Fund as down payment on the ceremonial mace. (Passed sent up for concurrence)
3. C0337-07 Resolution/s/Councilor James A. Keane That the Everett City Council supports House Docket 4651 Legislation that would bring over two million dollars to the City of Everett. This is from the State Rainy Day Fund with over two billion dollars currently in it. Along with City Council support, please forward to State Representative Stephen Smith and State Senator Anthony Gallucio, and also House Speaker Sal DiMasi to refer Bill to appropriate Joint Committee.(Passed sent up for concurrence)

| Quickest regularly scheduled meeting I've ever seen....None of the outgoing alderman were present (Smith, McGonagle - family commitments, DeMaria - sprained knee)...Nuzzo chaired the meeting... no discussion outside the published agenda except for a Happy New Year. Only item of any interest was item 14...NextG Networks is suing the city for denying their permit. |

| Thanks, Tetris. I knew Joe wasn't going to be there, he mentioned it at the last BOA meeting. Doesn't the city have the right to deny a permit without ending up in court? |
