I hope you're wrong massdee............ He can't hold a candle to the current chief and if he's got a brain, he sure hides it well!

I know exactly who we are referring to.

Justme is absolutely correct, that choice would be an extremely big mistake.

But as I said before, Carlo is very easily influenced by any stronger personality.

massdee, I think that posting that name or other possible candidates does not violate any privacy concerns. These are not minors or anyone allegedley being accused of a crime.

I have no idea if it is true or not, just something I heard. I believe Jeanne helped Carlo in his campaign.

I know she was on Hanlons team at some earlier point but then backed away when she realized he was more concerned with basket weaving in Vermont than running the City.

There was rumor that she was to be part of the transition team.

Any Jeanne sightings at Honey Dew Hall lately?

Emile, correct me if I'm wrong...

But wasn't that the same gentleman who was photographed asleep in his police car?

I was finally able to catch Carlo's speech last night. I think he did a pretty good job. Maybe it lost something in not viewing it live, but I didn't find it moving or even remotely bringing someone to tears, except maybe family members and close friends. I'm not saying it was a bad speech, it was just a speech like so many others we have heard over the years, nothing special.

massdee, I think charm was being a bit sarcastic about the tears.

Is that correct charm?

I was there live; it didn't lose anything on tape. Massdee, I think your analysis is dead on. If anything, I picked up on Carlo being a bit more choked on the replay than I did live. And that's not a criticism, just an observation.

I was there too tetris. (boy, the world is different than it was 20 years ago)

Carlo got choked up when he mentioned his brother but the tears were when he mentioned his grandmother. It's emotional, I'm sure. The new beginning has begun. I cant wait to see the services at city hall and the next snow storm.

I have to say Carlo is a great person. That being said he is a bumbling buffoon every time he opens mouth he is the Gorge Bush of mayors!!But like I said its hard to dislike the man because he has nothing but good intension's.
I would make a point to watch the alderman's meetings on TV just to see Carlo speak"half of the time he spoke he was incoherent at best even Christ him self would be
left shaking his head!!I must say my personal favorite was when he proposed putting a tool on Broadway because people from Boston use the road to get home HAHAHA a tool on Broadway.
Other then George w Bush and Jimmy cater Carlo has to be the most incompetent elected official ever!!!!I want be clear about this I think Carlo is a fine family man and a all around good person. But the man is as dumb as a red brick......................Well I added my 2 cents
P.S nothing personal
