saw the meeting last nite Mr. Vancampen was very upset and as he stated "It's a slap in the face to the City of Everett" now we will see what happens on Memorial day weekend
It definitely looks like the police will be on notice for Memorial Day according to the BOA meeting last night. It also seems like it is once again being referred to the licensing committee. Van Campen is once again standing up for principles in this city that often has none.
Who has the authority of stopping these people? Were the police notified on Mother’s day about them selling flowers and what can the police do? Can the police make them stop? I don’t know the rules on something like this but they seem to keep getting away with it…..
Yes, it would appear that someone may have screwed up. I wonder what time the police received the call because I was on Ferry around 12:30 and they were there but I didn’t think anything of it at the time.
Best guess is the guy made something up to make the cops go away; after what happened on Easter Sunday, everyone on duty Sunday should have known to shut him down if they got a call about him. I went by there around 1:15; no police around but plenty of customers milling about.
it was at the time i posted and then the police went to their nextel's so nothing more came on the radio but I heard he showed the officer a state license not what the city of everett gives out they were talking about it at dunkin donuts this morning i.e. people who were there when the police went down
