PARENTS:
Please take the time to talk to your kids this weekend as the Prom is Friday night and our children think they are invincible.
Rather have mine be mad and be accused of not being trusting than to have her hurt or worse.

I agree Lynda, something bad always seems to happen on prom weekend. The police also warned the kids at an assembly that they will be cracking down on any after parties that involve underage drinking. They must be hearing complaints about the kids just being sent home instead of arrested or held until their parents pick them up.

I wouldn't think that the Limo would be any different, (I don't know mine is taking a car, I told her no limo till senior year), the hall, you are probably right the tickets were $65.00 each I don't know what they go for these days it is our first Prom, after the prom they are just doing breakfast and the beach so I can't see that being any different than ussual.
I do agree though scamore, I think that the weekend chosen has much to be desired. I know it put our family plans back a day.

Actually 65.00 is not as expensive as most other schools. I have heard of 125.00 tickets!!! My sone chose not to go this year. He said he had enough with the 8th and 10th grade semi formals, and his girlfrieds semis. He said it will be more exciting at senior prom this way.

well I am going to say this two weeks ago was the malden prom tickets 35.00 each, hall the hilton in lynnfield, sit down dinner not a buffet, entertainment, limo cost was around 100.00 for the nite. It's just not fair to the students to do this on a long weekend when prices do go up. Look at gas as of today it went up 7cents it's totally ridiculous, I don't know maybe I am stressing with the high prices out there
