Ok, I got my new bin. I recycled this week. Checked online and received my points and bonus points for signing up .

NOW, is there some way to know how many points I need to get a gift card? Is there a book or website that lets you know? I check on the recyclebank.com website and it just lists the everett businesses I can use But not a "this many points equal $$ gift card". or

Can anyone in the elm street area who has had these bins for the past couple of months help me figure this out?

You would have thought that city hall would explain this a little better .

2 1/2 points for every pound you recycle and for restaurants (to receive 10.00) is 1225 points. Others are less and vary. I called on the phone. I was curious and I let them know this information should be on the website.

I clicked on Edit/Cart checkout and I was able to redeem 25% off green mountain coffee roasters.....LOL. I think I'll let the points add up.

Here are the Everett businesses: You must be logged in to see this link.

Great program....I hate the eyesore barrels though...and wish they weren't just left all over the street with no information. People didn't know they had to lift the cover. Everyone was confused when they got delivered without any notice. They still are being left all over the streets with trash in them. Code enforcement needs to do something about that. It just looks terrible. If someone from ward 1 has more information on how to redeem these points, that would be great.

Thanks, Tails

I have seen houses up and down this city throwing regular garbage in them, overflowing and not shutting at all . This city needs to issue something about these bins and how they are to be used, soon !

If my math is correct, you would need to recycle 490 lbs. to get a $10.00 credit toward a restaraunt etc.

Does that sound right ?

I just used my online calculator 490.00lbs times 2.5 and came up with 1225.00 so I would think that it correct .
