I didn't know you had to set to members only I thought this was a site where anyone can log in and vote. To bad Michael, you are showing your one sided

Jane - it's not one-sided if Michael is preventing vote-rigging. Take a look at the number of votes, vs. the number of people who usually read the postings. It was 3-4 times the number, and literally hundreds of votes were occurring within short periods of time. Someone was using a macro to rig the outcome.

The integrity of the poll was broken by the malicious voting of computer macros programmed by people. The members only rule is the only way to ensure one person = one vote. It is easy for someone to become a member if they want to and remain anonymous. In this way the voting is open to everyone.


That being said, I have not and will not make a rule saying all polls HAVE TO BE members-only. It seemed obvious to me that you wanted the poll to have some integrity so, I reset it. If you want it otherwise, just set it back.

Well - when people use macros, it ruins the integrity of the poll. And the previous poll was so tainted that its data no longer had value. I don't know why Jane would want to preserve something like that - but there you go.
