Hopkinton Soldier Killed In Afghanistan
BOSTON (WBZ) ¯
A Hopkinton soldier has been killed fighting the war in Afghanistan.
Maj. Brian Mescall, 33, was killed when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle on Friday in the Zabul Province of Afghanistan.
Two other soldiers, Spc. Joseph Hernandez, 24, of Hammond, Indiana, and Spc. Jason parsons, 24, of Lenoir, North Carolina were also killed in the explosion.
Mescall was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment in Hohenfels, Germany.
