well, that is good lynda, you didn't lose your job as of May 1st, everyone is entitled to their opinion and you must not be living in everett where you are going to be down 7 police officers and 9 fireman, hope you don't need 911 in the future |

I got to meet Mrs Morris earlier tonite collecting her signatures I sign for her hoping we can have the first female mayor in the city of everett. I had some questions for her and it was on the smart cars, my question was how come meter maids are not tagging the squares anymore and they drive around all day, first of all she corrected me they are parking enforcement, and she agree with me, they should be out walking and tagging the square area both glendale and everett square. You can't blame the mayor for this the parking clerk wanted smart cars he has them she feels they work better at nite with the nite crew and during the day the parking enforcement officers should be out walking the weather is getting warmer. She can see them used in rain or snow. I told her I can agree with the winter time but not the summer she agreed with me. Hopefully if she gets in this could be fixed. I also ask her about woodwaste and she started to tell me she can't understand why a cease and desist order has not been served for shut down and why a fine everyday, she is confused by this whole thing just like we are. I also asked her about alderman marchese ordinance towing for three or more tickets and I told her how it has stopped cold turkey. she will be contacting alderman marchese and asking him find out why his ordinance is not being enforce. as she stated to me this city is losing money big time in revenue. (and there is no meter tagging, no three or more tickets towing she understands times are tough but if you are going to stop this at least have the coutersy of letting the public know. The last part is my own opinion.) |

First you have no idea how wrong you are about me! Second the reason i asked if it was the same Terry is because i used to know a Terry that got married to a cop but i never knew her last name. |

Got to meet Mrs. Morris today, I like her she is up front on why she is running and I will support her. I think it's time for a woman to run this city someone who cares so deeply for people. And I give her a lot of credit for doing this on her own. |

I would like to know how she stands on the issues. There is so much facing the city in the future. It would be great if Mrs Morris would come on here and answer some of our concerns. Just a thought!

VERY disappointing to see Jason Marcus’s name on Charter Review. It shows no regard to the gentlemen’s agreement. I’m disappointed to see Joe Hickey’s name on there too. Nothing personal, he’s too close to the Mayor and is a CITY employee. It was designed for average residents and it’s not looking that way.
The motion:
11. C0024-09 Resolution/s/Councilors Anthony F. Ranieri and Rosa DiFlorio Whereas, Charter Reform and the election of a Charter Commission will be on the November ballot in the City of Everett; and
Whereas, The Charter Commission process presents a unique opportunity for citizen participation and input; and
Whereas, It is the desire of the City Council as evidenced through recent legislative acts that no person shall seek more than one office on any municipal ballot; and
Whereas, Legal precedent appears to exempt Charter Commission from this restriction; and
Whereas, It remains the desire of the City Council that the spirit of the “one person one office” charter provision be embraced by all elected officials and that the spirit of the law be applied to the upcoming election for Charter Commissioners.
Therefore: We, the members of the Everett City Council, pledge to each other and to the citizenry of Everett that we shall not seek election to the Charter Commission while seeking any other municipal office.
