We're not pissed....there are many people on this post who DID vote for John Hanlon....We are pissed that Hanlon is not keeping his promises.

No new jobs for supporters? well, well, well....

How about the new position for Mr. Marchese?

How about the new position for Jack Doyle? It was eliminated 8 years ago....

How about the return of Ron D'Nofrio?

How about the filth in the streets? The parking lots are a mess...

Six weeks into the administration?....still no department head meeting...

Mr. Hanlon's temper...on TV and in person?

This doesn't seem like the right way to me.

One last thing....Who is the Mayor paying $10,000.00 to reconciliate the books? Is this a secret?

That's ten grand of our tax money, People!!...Where is that money going?

The council apparently transferred this money from the general fund to the Mayor's Office account last meeting.

I'm getting "tiredofthis" mayoral nonsense. Do something constructive, John!

Seems like the Hanlon employees have no idea what is going on....

Maybe that's why Hanlon kept some experienced people...

Hey, what about the campaign promise about the jobs?...you didn't mention that...and the TEN GRAND?....and the temper tantrum on tv?......department head meetings?

I'm "tiredofthis" administration already....

Hanlon...no energy, no direction...just more stories about Vermont

In two months so far the biggest corruption Mr. Hanlon has uncovered is the illegal concession stand ring. Its just the tip of the ice cream cone as far as he would have it, but I am watching carefully to see if anything else comes to light. I wonder why the corporate sponsers of the rink were so easily intimidated by the Ragucci people to pass on the terms of the deal to which they were entitled. It seems there was some more going on there... In any case, the Youth hockey program has been dealt a blow, but they shouldn't be compaining to Hanlon. It was Ragucci's administration who gave away their concessions and Hanlon apparently did the right thing it turning over control of the concession business as per the legal contract. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here....

Michael, you should be careful about using the world "illegal." I believe it will come out that there was nothing illegal about the contract and that the Hanlon administration jumped the gun in their approach. But time will tell.

I think EYH already was running the concessions this season up to now. Hanlon is using this situation to give the former administration a black eye at the expense of Everett Youth Hockey. If Hanlon had left it alone, there would not have been an issue.

Hanlon could have waited until later this spring to renegotiate the contract instead of bringing it up right now. I am of the opinion that the management company will somehow amend their contract to allow EYH to run the concessions.

Hanlon doesn't care about youth .....maybe if the hockey organisation was named Everett Geriatric Hockey, he would have left it alone.....

you know I don't understand what goes on down at the skating rink but after doing some checking Mr. Fonzi was opt to pay the city 1% and the Commonwealth of Mass 2% but was told by the former mayor and his administration not to worry about it. I also learned this past week that former mayor took out his retirement money from the city and retired now if the City falls under State guidelines it is my understanding that if the former mayor wants to come back and run in 2 years he must pay back his retirement money before he can do this. Does anyone know if this is true.

I think he has to have at least 10 years and be 55 to retire. He has much more than ten years because of his alderman service, but he isn't 55.

no he isn't he is 47 I believe you still can take out your money but I found out after paying a percentage to the state and of course the federal if you opt to run again you must pay it back to the retirement board

Lisa, I don't think you can just take your money out. You either retire - or you don't. It's not a 401K.

That's right Court...you must be at least 55 to retire and then it is a monthly payout, not a lump sum distribution.
