I just received this and, I must say, this is the most compelling piece of the election season.

KEEP EVERETT SCHOOLS MOVING FORWARD:

There are seven current membersof Everett's
School Committee runing for Re-Election who have the
experience to bring the best possible education to Everett.
They have successfully maintained the quality of education
that has become tradition in Everett while THEY CONTROLLED
SCHOOL DEPARTMENT SPENDING SO THAT IT WOULD HAVE NO
IMPACT ON EVERETT'S TAX RATE
.

This School Committee has received over $5 million in
Medicaid reimbursements for the city, created a Pre-School
Program for 3 and 4 year olds; developed a full day
Kindergarten, added a Summer Enrichment Program, and
increased the number of teachers to reduce the size of the
classes, among other achievements. Yet, with all these
improvements, THE PRESENT SCHOOL
COMMITTEE HAS KEPT THE SCHOOL BUDGET UNDER THE MINIMUM AMOUNT
REQUIRED BY THE STATE.

In the past four years, 97% of students graduating from
Everett High School have passed the MCAS test riht up there
with students from more affluent suburbs. And three out
of four of Everett's 2009 graduating class went on to higher
education!

These seven School Committee members have worked hard as a
team to allocate funds by examining and reducing costs so
that students may still participate in educational, sports,
and extracurricular programs with no additional fees.

The Everett Independent says, the present School Committee
"SHINES"
adding that current members for re-election
are "Everett people with lifelong interests here, who have
themselves graduated from Everett High School, who hold
multiple degrees.... "and have".... YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND
SHOW A GENUINE INTEREST AND CARE ABOUT PUBLIC SCHOOLS"

VOTE FOR THESE SEVEN CANDIDATES:

RICHARD C. BANIEWICZ
LESTER S. MACLAUGHLIN
ALLEN L. PANARESE
FRANCES A. PARKER, JR.
DAVID M. ELA, JR.
ALEXANDER SANDRO COLARUSSO
ROBERT CORREIRO
PLUS:
MICHAEL M. PHILLIPS
JOSEPH A. LA MONICA

I realize that for many of you, this will make the hair on the back of your head stand up; however, I think it's time that we realize that these men are truly qualified and hardworking individuals.
Why would we pull the rug out from under our children and take the risk of setting their education back by putting individuals in charge of the school board with absolutely no interest in the school department EXCEPT for their personal hate of one individual.

For me, this has absolutely nothing to do with the Superintendent. For that matter, if we're going to think that way, the alternative arguement relative to that disgruntled principal that leads Stat around by the short hairs is ALOT more scary to me.

Have we forgotten what is important?

We've given the Stat Slate a whole summer to speak to us and convince us that they know what they are doing. I've seen Santagate once and he greeted me with "We have to get that crook Forestiere out". I saw Ms. Cornielo last weekend, and again, NOTHING about the kids, she spoke of friends of hers who had lost their jobs and her hate for her boss Forestiere.

Come on people!!!!!! Aren't we better than that?

THINGS WILL NEVER EVER CHANGE UNLESS IT BEGINS WITH US.

This discussion is NOT about the Superintendent. Its about who is qualified to operate the school department.

Has even ONE of the Stat slate (or Stat himself for that matter) spoken to any of you about ANYTHING else except Foresteire? I dont believe any of the Stat Slate (or he, himself) know A THING about the school department. If they did, they would have spoken up.

Very scary people. We sit here behind our puters day in and day out saying we deserve the best and change. Well lets start right here, right now and do what is RIGHT for our children.

If we want other change, lets attend meetings and call these individuals. No one has tried that. We're believing others who are fueled purely on hate and hate is an extremely distructive energy.

Just MY Honest Opinion.......

Can't do it............. Freddie is NOT a good role model for our children and the school committee is responsible for his continued employment. Condoning his behavior indicates their thinking is twisted. They're not looking out for the best interest of the students. They're looking out for the best interest of Freddie, themselves, and their families!
