Can I ask why when FFF was talking during the last school committee meeting you couldn't see his face behind the Football Trophy? I too am proud of the boys but don't we have a better place to show it off than on the table covering his face????? To the best of my knowledge these tables are taken down after a meeting so does he carry this along side of him where ever he goes?

I think FFF is sending a powerful message without even realizing it. He's been allowed to "hide" behind the Tide's football trophies for years, when under his management, the state auditor revealed special education funds being used for football parades, uncertified teachers and administrators, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in misspent state and federal grant money...and over budget for three years, totaling more than a million dollars.

As long as people care more about football than education - this is the kind of superintendent we'll always have. I can't wait for the budget hearings to start.

"Let the games begin."

When do the budget hearings start? Is it May or sooner? I'm with you Court, I can't wait either.

You will see the drool committee give him a rubber stamp for his (accomplishments?). I mean, he did beat the rap, didn't he? Oh wait a minute, he wasn't not guilty, was he? I guarantee you that not one person will say anything about that incident come evaluation time.

We certainly need a free thinking school committee. Enough of these owned by the FFF people. Gee, it makes you wonder why they keep running, after all they get no pay or benefits, yah, right.

Who among us will run? What is stopping a handful of us from running? Who do you know? Any recent college grads? Anyone's kids, grandkids, neices or nephews? We need to start talking to people now if there are going to be viable candidates challenging the cowards serving now. Any suggestions? send me an email here if you know anyone I can help.

Honestly . . . I think as long as Foresteire is superintendent, you're not going to find a huge pool of people who want the aggravation . . .

Define "qualified". If what we have now were a basis for comparison, anyone who can vote his or her conscience, not for self-preservation would be qualified in my book.
