For those of who you are unfamiliar with me or my posts; my name is Jessica Caracciolo and I am running for common council ward 5 this year. I can honestly say I am very happily awaiting the running process.

It is with deep gratitude and understanding that I ask for your consideration in my running. I have been a citizen here my whole life and seeing what is happening to our city just saddens me. I was going to ask councilor Simonelli about the adhoc committee but I heard he wasn't doing it anymore. I read posts on here, in newspapers, and watch meetings and the whole situation is a bunch of drama and chaos. In our society we are raised to think that our lives are complicated, stressful and the older you get the harder it is going to be- what a way to think huh. Right now we are being poisoned everyday by wood waste chemicals that are actually very highly toxic chemicals (despite what you hear). The only positive thing I can say at the moment is that our city is strong and if we come together we can be a great community. What I mean by that is... we can change how our city looks, smells and runs. We can change our perspective of the people around us and actually have compassion for one another. There are many things we can do to relieve our city of the stress it's under and trust me we are feeling it. Some things I may say here might seem unconventional but I ask that they be respected for what they are because I do not beat around the bush or say things because it is "what the people want to hear". I would love to run for mayor because things really can't get much worse, but I do not know the first thing about running a city- which is why I am going to start low. All to often we take things for granted and don't appreciate what is right infront of us. We see the glass half empty instead of half full. We get up in the morning and complain about our upcoming day instead of being happy that we are alive, the sun is out and shining and spring is upon us. We breath in toxic chemicals which weakens our immune system, but with the stress we are under along with the average lifestyle our bodies have a hard time recovering from said chemical intake. I know personally that when people ask me where I am from and I say Everett - I get the ..oh...Everett... why can't it be oh! Everett! thats great! We have been walked over, on and beaten down as a community and it is time we did something about it. I have the understanding that life is what you make it. After many years of growing mind/body/spirit I now live life and am grateful for everything around me. Appreciating everything from a sunny day to flowers growing because spring has come. Other things like the places we live and supporting ourselves and helping others all deserve appreciation and gratitude. If we all find it in our hearts to accept our city the way it is and want to shift it and make it better, then we can (as a community) make it a better place. It is not something that will happen over night, but something that is going to actually take hard work. I am by NO means a politician... which you would see if you met me but I am here to try and create a better place for all of us. We cannot rely on the leader of our city to make a positive difference, so...let's do it ourselves. Lastly if I am elected I will not be quiet there is no reason for me to be! if I do not like something our leader or anyone else wants to do to our city I will voice my opinion and fight for us, because sitting back and letting him walk all over us just drives me crazy and I won't let it happen.

I am happy to answer any questions you have for me! I did post earlier plugging my services. I welcome communication.

Thank you all! Lotsa love, gratitude, serenity, vitality and light!!

Good luck to you running in ward 5. My hope is you beat the male representative from ward 5. He has not done anything for the city or about Wood Waste.

Also, don't forget about Charter Review. It is desperately needed in this city and time for change.

Has anyone heard any names of people running for any office or Charter Review? I believe today, April 21st, is the first day for anyone to take out papers.
