Has anyone heard any names? I have heard three names but have no idea if it is true, Jordan, Bill Bowbridge and the mayors chief of staff's fiance.

This has nothing to do with David personally, but I think that the person who won 4th place in the race, who was Lenny Jordan, should be next in line. I do not think David should have been picked for that reason alone (I know there are a few others also). I Also compliment those councilors that voted for Mr. Jordan. It was not a popular vote but you did the right thing.

I agree with you. If they are going to pick on Lenny because he cant speak, or does not have an education, they should look in the mirror themselves.

I was disappointed on how over stretched Dave Rodriguez's "resume" was. There was no need for all that overkill. Let all the common council do the same and see their resumes and backgrounds.

David knew he had the votes and as someone mentioned on Topix, that it's another conflict because when something comes up, is he going to question his finance?? I HIGHLY doubt it.

Take last week for an example when Peter Napolitano caught them in a lie about Capitol Waste. You think this guy is going to do the right thing?? My bet....NO WAY. I give a lot of credit to those who voted for Lenny Jordan and just didn't go along to get along.

Could not have said it any better Tails. I think Carlo wants nothing but the best for this city. However, how he is going about it is just plain wrong. I think he is offering things (i.e. jobs) to people (may they be the actual people or relatives of people, etc.) to concentrate power so no one will question him, or very few will, and I think this is wrong. I may want a 4 year mayor after Hanlon (anyone remember that horrorshow?) and DeMaria (aka Caesar).

My question is, will he bi a "conflict of interest" situation if he votes on issues that come from the mayors office since he is engaged to the mayors Chief of Staff, Melissa Murphy?

I believe so, becuase (and someone can correct me if I'm wrong) I think Sergio Cornelio couldn't vote on DPW matters when he worked for them.

Tails, I meant to comment on this on my 6.13.10 post in greater detail. I thought it was overkill too by Councilor DJ Napolitano about David's resume also. I thought the Councilor came across very arrogant when he spoke. Although he never directly said this, it was insinuated Jordan was an uneducated, blue collar worker, who’s a buffoon and David was this well rounded, educated elite.

I really did not like the way Jordan was treated. I also do not like Councilor DJ Napolitano. I’ve meet him a handful of times and every time, without fail, he comes off as a smug, arrogant, cocky, S.O.B. and when he spoke that just reinforced my opinion of him.
