Emile - the world may never know how much help Fred gave Hanlon, but we do know this. Fred's PR guy was working on Hanlon's ads, which explains how vicious this campaign got. Fred also showed up at Hanlon's victory party and his Christmas party. Fred is not a "no strings attached" kind of guy...he will expect payback in spades. |

That can't be the official reason, Louie. They could never get away with that -- the officer would definitely have grounds for a grievance. There has to be more to it than that. |

I appreciate your restaint in not coming right out and giving the name of a law enfocement officer. However, are you sure that missing one meeting was enough to get a seasoned officer demoted? This couldn't have been an isolated incident if he really was demoted.

I'm less interested in who it is than I am the reasons behind it . . . and again, if he can prove that the only reason he was demoted was the he failed to show up to support the Chief last Monday night, then he has grounds for a grievance. If he's unwilling to do that, then he'll just have to suck it up. Sometimes you have to stand up and fight regardless of what the consequences may be. If what you're saying about the circumstances is true, this sounds like one of those times. |

It has come to my attention that Lt. Flammia does not want the chief of police job so I guess the search continues, word at the local breakfast place "Petes" Lt. McAdams will give it a go.
