Oh, I'm sure they'll use as many hammers as they can to beat the crap out of Ragucci before he leaves office. It's not enough that they beat him at the ballot box . . . now they want his head on a spike in Everett Square.

I'd like to see the workers who were allegedly told to go home for the day come forward at the meeting and state that publicly I'd like to see Al Borgonzi and Ralph Sacramone stand up at a meeting and say that they risked public safety and told their men to go home. I want to hear if from these men, not just from members of the Board of Aldermen who have such a large axe to grind against the Mayor that I'm surprised they can stand up under the weight of it.

But we shall see . . .

David Ragucci, Ralph Sacramone, and Al Borgonzi would never compromise public safety.

I would like to hear the truth about what happened.

Well, good luck with that H1, though I agree with you. I'd like to hear the truth. But you're not going to hear the truth coming out of that Board when it comes to Ragucci. Most of them let themselves be led by the nose by Marchese . . . he must've been a generous contributor to the campaigns of a couple of these guys . . . because they follow his lead like lemmings off a cliff. It's so sad.

well I hate to disagree to agree with you liz and H1 but al borgonzi was the only one working on friday and his word to me after I called to see what was going on was that the city of everett was in gridlock due to the fact that he didn't have enough men, a bad accident on everett ave. which there was a train hit a car on the tracks cause there was no plowing by the city of chelsea and I quote "The contractors were sent home"

Well, like I said, I'd like to see Borgonzi stand up at Monday night's meeting and say that on camera. The last time the contractors were "sent home" -- in reality -- they packed up and went home on their own.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens Monday night.

I am very confused about what actually happened Friday.

What happened?

Really...what happened?

I doubt that we'll ever know what "really" happened . . . but from what's been posted here, Jane says she was told that the city workers were sent home; Lisa says she was told it was the contractors. Bottom line is, I guess, the plowing didn't get done properly. This happened a couple of years ago, and the contractors decided mid way through the storm that they were done and went home. Consequently, the city workers got behind in the plowing, and the end result was that there were streets that just didn't get plowed. It seems this is, again, what happened on Friday. The question is . . . who are these contractors and why are they still given work by the city?

I thought the Marcheses had the plowing contract . . . which would make things very interesting indeed . . . let's see if the contractors are named at tomorrow night's meeting . . .

It would be interesting to know if they use GPS on our plows and the contracted plows. I recall stories that while plowing was supposed to be on our streets, these guys billed the city for time they were actually plowing commercial locations. [This goes back a few years].

There will be many things happening at City Services.

Some will stay, but only for a short time.

More later............

yes, but does Borgonzi know it's only for six months? Or does he think it's for real?
