According to a source Jarrett Barrios has withdrawl from the Middlesex D.A. race. If you are looking for the Boston Globe's they will be late today. Barrios will seek re-election to the Senate

Article was in the Globe, which was on my front stairs at 5:45 this morning. article was good. I thought it was too early for Mr. Barrios to run for DA, how about anyone else.

It was also printed in the Boston Herald this morning. I think this puts an awful lot of people, who have already committed to other people, in a very difficult position.

Don't you mean he's in a more difficult position because people have committed to others? Or would he really expect supporters to withdraw their support from another candidate because he changed his mind?

Oh yeah . . . he'll definitely expect his supporters to follow him back to the Senate race. Anyone remember the Eddie Markey/Sam Rotondi battle back in the early 80s. Same situation -- and it cause quite a few problems for people in the city.

It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out.

You can read Jarrett's open letter here. Evidently, the rigors of campaign for DA were too much for his young family, so he's opting for the rigors of a senate race.

Wow, good stuff. I have to say I was disappointed that he was leaving office because I do think he has done a nice job. I hadn't been following the senate race much as yet, but this will certainly make it more interesting.

I am an average resident of Everett who would like to see more communication about anything and everything to do with Everett
