According to a source Jarrett Barrios has withdrawl from the Middlesex D.A. race. If you are looking for the Boston Globe's they will be late today. Barrios will seek re-election to the Senate

Article was in the Globe, which was on my front stairs at 5:45 this morning. article was good. I thought it was too early for Mr. Barrios to run for DA, how about anyone else. |

It was also printed in the Boston Herald this morning. I think this puts an awful lot of people, who have already committed to other people, in a very difficult position. |

Don't you mean he's in a more difficult position because people have committed to others? Or would he really expect supporters to withdraw their support from another candidate because he changed his mind? |

Oh yeah . . . he'll definitely expect his supporters to follow him back to the Senate race. Anyone remember the Eddie Markey/Sam Rotondi battle back in the early 80s. Same situation -- and it cause quite a few problems for people in the city.
It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out. |

You can read Jarrett's open letter here. Evidently, the rigors of campaign for DA were too much for his young family, so he's opting for the rigors of a senate race.

Wow, good stuff. I have to say I was disappointed that he was leaving office because I do think he has done a nice job. I hadn't been following the senate race much as yet, but this will certainly make it more interesting.
