Sorry lisa, I misunderstood your post.
I am terribly dissappointed with Reilly over this issue. Obviously the girls were under the influence or the blood levels would not be an issue. Because of Reilly's interference, the police cannot move a case against the establishment or persons who served them. This is a terrible miscarriage of justice.
I wonder if he would help me if I went to him with a problem? I doubt it.
This really sickens me.
I was planning on supporting him and unless he explains himself better than what I saw on TV, I will not vote or support him.

There's more than one reason not to vote for Tom Reilly. He's pandering to the far left with his support of illegal immigrants being able to pay in-state tuition rates at Massachusetts colleges, and he was complicit in Bernie Law's ability to escape to the Vatican by not bringing criminal charges against him -- two big red flags for someone charged as the chief law enforcement officer in the state.

Although I don't agree with what Tom Reilly did - I do think his heart was in the right place. The parents of those girls have suffered enough, to have it rehashed over and over again by the press isn't fair - as we all know, believe 1/2 of what you see and none of what you hear... if you were in the position the parents were in, wouldn't you use your friends to keep it quiet - not necessarily obstruct justice, which is what Reilly obviously did - he went too far. Reilly should have used his media connections to keep it quiet, not his professional/legal ones. I feel that the more everyone talks about it, the worse it will be for the poor parents of these sisters... all thanks to Tom Reilly and his misguided sense of "friendship"... |

I disagree totally. If that girl was from Everett and had killed her sister and herself and nearly killed her good friend, and she was drunk it would have been front page news all over the state. They would have gone after the person who supplied her the alcohol and the person who let her drink in their home. What sort of a lesson was it for all of the witnesses who made statements to the police about her bringing alcohol to the party? They stated everyone was drinking. It was obviously not the young womans first time drinking since she had the sense to hide it in a water bottle. She had probably endangered lives several times before and somehow made it home safely. In rich towns like that she may have even been caught before but the cops kept it hush hush and told her parents. I feel so sorry for her parents that they lost their daughters. but I do not think less priveledged kids, living in a less affluent town would have been treated anywhere near the same way.

Bowdridge is a blowhard with the personality of a gas grill. That's a gift to Marchese. This should work out just lovely. And Terri and John are all getting jobs? I thought they were rec commission, not employees on staff. |

Marchese is talking to Ravanesi about putting certain people in place? You gotta love it. This is nothing if not proof that Hanlon is not running the city - Mike and Ravs are, along with Fred. I don't think Terri is the daughter-in-law of Mr. Colameta; she's not married. Perhaps a niece? She used to work at the Leader Herald, and is a huge Hanlon supporter. |

No worries, Louie. There's nothing worth suing over in any of the posts. |
