The meat packers are confirming what we know," says University of Maryland economics professor Peter Morici, "and that is that this large group of illegal aliens in the United States is lowering the wage rate of semiskilled workers, people who are high school dropouts or high school graduates with minimal training."
In fact, a meat-packing job paid $19 an hour in 1980, but today that same job pays closer to $9 an hour, according to the Labor Department. That's entirely consistent with what we've been reporting -- that illegal aliens depress wages for U.S. workers by as much as $200 billion a year in addition to placing a tremendous burden on hospitals, schools and other social services.

My kids were thrilled that their class size was about 40% less without all the illegal kids in school today. We are all paying the price.

Well, My Friends,
The Pup and I had a wonderful day yesterday. A nice quiet walk together down Norwood Street. Most of the businesses were closed and plenty of parking.
A wonderful outing for both of us......
I think that an immigration day every week would be wonderful....
Everett appeared to be a quiet town...
The Pup and I really enjoyed it....
Can City Government mandate a holiday for these people every week??
The Pup and I are so much supporting that idea...
The demonstrators are quoted as saying..
''We are not criminals," and ''Legalize, don't criminalize."
The word legal always surfaces.....
My issues are with the "ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS"
Not the LEGAL IMMIGRANTS.......same words as always..."ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS"
Had a great time yesterday..
Lets do it again real soon....
Oh bye the way, If these "ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS" are so unhappy in their own country, why do they not demonstrate against in their own country to gain equal rights?....
Why demonstrate in a foreign country?
That would be the United States.
Where they obviously have no legal rights?
