The Star Spangled Banner
Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, now conceals, now discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected now shines on the stream: 'Tis the star-spangled banner! O long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion A home and a country should leave us no more? Their blood has wiped out their foul footstep's pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved homes and the war's desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven-rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust." And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Sorry Court, But I noticed that your post is in English.....
HOO RAA ......
my friend....
The Pup and I salute you
Semper Fi, my friend.
Tomorrow should be an interesting day.
I would fire them or make them take vacation or compensatory time tomorrow if they would not come to work.
Who did all this work before illegal immigrants started doing the same jobs????
What would happen if all immigrants stopped working tomorrow?
Maybe a lot of high school kids would be working again and perhaps making a few more bucks.
I have no problems with immigrants if they are here legally.
Throw the rest out on their illegal asses.
Don't misunderstand me all you bleeding heart liberals out there...
I SAID ILLEGAL!
THAT'S THE IMPORTANT WORD!
LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN SO NO ONE MISUNDERSTANDS....
ILLEGAL IS THE WORD..
HOO RAA FOR ALL THE LEGAL ( YES THERE IS THAT WORD "LEGAL" AGAIN) IMMIGRANTS WHO WISH TO MAKE THEMSELVES PART OF OUR CULTURE AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, OUR GREAT COUNTRY.

Very well said! I agree about the teenagers needing jobs these days. They can no longer work at Mc Donalds or Taco Bell, or Dunkin Donuts because all of the illegals have those jobs. Bottom line is they are criminals!! They need to go. I am certainly not going food shopping at De Moulas tomorrow, I am sure they will be shut down.

Thank you, Emile. When I heard about the anthem in Spanish, with the meaning changed....I decided a reminder was necessary.
There will be the mother of all backlashes if people are inconvenienced tomorrow. If there are traffic jams as the result of illegal road closure or businesses shut down due to "forced" solidarity....there will be an enormous backlash. I was listening to Michael Graham on 96.9 tonight; he said that there were businesses being threatened by pro-immigrant groups, forcing them to close down. We have illegal immigrants threatening legal citizens, forcing solidarity to protest and demand rights to which they are not entitled.
Is this a great country or what? |

Hi H1 and Court how have you been? Just got back from driving around the cities and towns in Mass. and I see most of the Brazilian community has shut down for the day. I was wondering what your thoughts are on this.. I feel we don't need them and keep the americans working.
Also on Friday May 5th we are asking all who drive to boycott filing up their cars with gas we as citizens need to send a message to big business. |
