Put up some signs reserving, during certain hours, some spaces for seniors with passes. Ticket and tow if others are parked in those spaces. Seems it would have been a whole lot cheaper than installing parking meters and you avoid the issue that justme, and Peter Napolitano at the time the meters were to be installed, spoke of. Drive by the lot now in the daytime; it's a ghost town. Could have been a factor in why Career Source left; but there were probably many other (and likely bigger) reasons than that. |

oh please, meters maids don't work a full week or a full day, they are screwing the city every week. Worse thing they got were the cars, Michelle should make them walk, take the cars during street sweeping hours and then let them walk the rest of the shift, Meters say 8-6, Never seen a meter maid after 1 p.m any day |

I wonder who gave Rita's parking passes? It wasn't Mr Kelly...... Instead of issuing new passes to the seniors, why not just tell parking enforcement to stay away when there's something going on at the Connolly center? He did it for the gang using the high school.
Seems strange she's got carte blanche when she has no idea how a parking department the size of ours runs. Carlo doesn't really think her parking clerk experience in Winthrop prepared her for what goes on here, does he? |

That was Dolores Lattanzi, when she took over for Mr. Kelly. If you have a gripe with the parking office you can email Michelle on facebook or linkedin. Give her time she will be making changes to the department. |

What changes?
The office was run very efficiently under Mr. Kelly. Unless, the changes are excuses to hire your own people. Lets see how efficiently that office continues to run under this new leadership that has been given carte blanche and does not even live in the city. |

I'm putting this under rumors because I'm not certain if it's true or not however, I heard from a few different people that Phil Antonelli, who is President of GTA may become the next executive director of city services. I just cant see how that is legal when he has his own business that has contracts with the city. Hopefully, it's just a rumor. |

Speaking of rumors............. I heard one of the parking clerk staff is doing hearings because Michelle is too busy with MIS.
Two problems:
Isn't this part of the job Michelle is being overpaid to do? Has this UNION employee been sworn is as the Hearing Officer?
I'd be asking those questions if I had a hearing..............

Looks like there might be two GTA's in Everett. Was never aware of that.
Philip M Antonelli President Gta Irrigation Inc#8232;Everett, MA
Regardless, no one from GTA should be getting that job. I guess we will find out for sure after Oct 12th.
The Parking Clerks office = ONE BIG MESS and to me is not being run correctly, like everything else.

I have to agree but he's gotten away with giving jobs to whoever he wants, including elected officials, so I don't imagine he'll start doing the right thing now...............

I agree with you but Carlo has been getting away with doing whatever he wants & I don't see anything coming along to change that.... |

No news, just pictures of Carlo everywhere. If he spent half as much time working at city hall as he does doing photo ops, our city might be in better shape! ________________________________________ Reply author: massdee Replied on: 10/26/2012 10:20:33 PM Message: Just imagine how much more harm could happen if he spent more time there...LOL ________________________________________ Reply author: justme Replied on: 10/27/2012 09:45:00 AM Message: You are so Right massdee!! ________________________________________ Reply author: massdee Replied on: 10/27/2012 11:28:16 PM Message: I see we are on the same page. ________________________________________ Reply author: justme Replied on: 10/28/2012 08:07:36 AM Message: We usually are.......... ________________________________________ Reply author: massdee Replied on: 10/28/2012 9:06:43 PM Message: I was reading over on Topix.
