6. The funding necessary for securing the Glendale Park grant (i.e., all of the funding for the project needs to be secured before the project can start, the city will get reimbursed by the state after the project is completed) hasn't even been secured yet and the city is applying for another park grant? I realize that the city may be trying to put together a large capital improvement funding package; but will the state consider giving the city another grant for parks when the project for the last one hasn't really gone beyond a design phase yet?
24. Does Marcus get it? Or does the squeaky wheel get the grease?
28. I'm assuming that this piece springs from last week's Public Participation and Comment period. Does Matewsky really want to stick his nose into that? |

Just to be straight on this.
You're saying that there's another special meeting of the common council scheduled for this coming Monday night. And if they get the 12 votes that they need to pass either or both of these two pieces, there will be a special meeting of the board of aldermen on this coming Tuesday night. If that's the case, do you know what time the meetings are scheduled for? |

My "spies" at city hall have conformed that tonight's meeting has been cancelled. Not sure exactly why though. Has to be either no quorum for a vote on loan orders (require a 2/3 majority on the entire body or 12 votes) or not enough "yes" votes. |

If Carlo is upset again about it, then he should think about stopping summers off for the city council.
I dont get summers off from my part-time job, and if I did, I would have a pay cut....and that's private sector funds! I think the city council has a nerve to say they deserve summers off. Maybe the month of July, but certainly not the entire summer.
