Dear Friend,
Losing ones life as he or she knows it is extremely devastating, especially when it is taken aw...ay without any permission. Families are devastated and finances become unbearable. With the help of friends, family and sometimes strangers too, life can be made better. We are part of helping someone rebuild his life after it was tragically changed against his will and without his permission.
Officer Joe Gaff a 25 year veteran of the Everett Police was injured after being in a motorcycle crash almost one year ago. The Everett Police and friends of Joe and his wife Naci, have set up a fundraising event for Joe to help raise money to take the mounting bills away and offer Joe support and a speedy recovery. This fundraiser will be held on Saturday May 5th, 2012 at the Anthony’s of Malden restaurant. There will be food, music, raffles, and an outpouring of support for Officer Gaff and his family.
Once again, on behalf of Joe's police family and the Gaff family, Thank you for helping to reestablish a life that was so tragically changed forever.

Thanks for the information. Joe's a great guy & I expect there will be an excellent turnout.
I have a couple of questions............Is it pay at the door or are they selling tickets now? Where can they be purchased? Where can a donation be sent? |

I'm sure you're right massdee. It's really sad that he was allowed back to begin the first time. I certainly hope Carlo doesn't let it happen again!
Do you know anything about the fundraiser? My husband thinks the world of Joe Gaff & would love to participate in some way but there's no way he'll deal with Vetrano.............. |

Sorry, but the conversation is not real clear. I know Joe Gaff, so I assume the negative comments are towards Vetrano. Please clarify so those that don't know won't get the wrong message.

IMHO I think the world of Joe Gaff and I agree with justme. I think the problem is the "rumors" of Vetrano may be looking for a job back, and that angers people....and rightfully so. Why would "he" be hosting a fundraiser? He has nothing to do with Everett police.
That all said.... I do question why an officer who was injured on the job would have mounting bills. It just does not seem right. If you are injured on the job, you should be made whole. |

I agree with you Tails, can't figure out where the mounting medical bills are coming from, yes it happen on the job it was Kelly time owed to the city of Everett. He coaches for BC pay coming in there, it make no sense to me. Been all over the city web site and epd web site looking to see if they are backing this fundraiser, didnt' see anything as of yet.
And, if the people don't like Mike Vetrano then don't go, and send a check to Gaff's house. If he is that injured as stated out there and on facebook, then he should step down get disability like Officer Marchese did and enjoy the rest of his life. |

I can't understand the mounting bills either & there doesn't seem to be any confirmation that there actually is a fundraiser being held. If this is someones idea of a joke, I don't think Joe Gaff would necessarily appreciate people sending checks.
I can't help but question why Michael posted this if s/he's not going because of Vetrano? Seems like a good way to stir people up over Vetrano.............. I'm out.
If I hear anything from a reliable source, I'll pass it on. |
