12. A0197-13 Order/s/Alderman Salvatore F. 15. A0201-13 Order/s/Alderman Salvatore F. Sachetta, as President To transfer $789,099 from Budgetary Fund Balance (Free Cash) into the Stabilization Account. As you know, the conference committee at the State House has released its Chapter 70 appropriation and it is significantly less than the Governor's proposed figure. This decrease in Chapter 70 money will likely increase the City's required contribution to fund education as it relates to the State's contribution. Furthermore, the School Department built its FY 2014 budget using the Governor's recommended budget, which will also likely force the school department to modify its budget at some point.
16. A0202-13 Order/s/Alderman Salvatore F. Sachetta, as President To make the following transfers: $34,373.98 From Auditor's Salary Account to Claims & Judgments Account. $3,142.03 from Auditor's Salary Account to Medicare Account. $7,320.00 from Police Salary Account to the Police Clothing Allowance Account. This is due to year-end housekeeping where we are using the surplus in the salary lines to cover deficits in these accounts.
17. A0203-13 Order/s/Alderman Salvatore F. Sachetta, as President To transfer $239,120 from Budgetary Fund Balance (Free Cash) into the Solid Waste Disposal Account. This transfer funds the purchase of the recycling bins from Recycle Bank in order to continue our single-stream recycling program.

Why bother with #26?
They had Verizon in last year and specifically told us that they have no interest in expanding FIOS to Everett.
They lied and said that they were out of funds for new additional cities and then added Medford.
You can fill in your blanks on why they want nothing to do with a downscale location like Everett. |

It is up to our City Government to make this work. Talking to some friends in Malden Fios gave them the triple play for $99 a month for two years for me that would be a savings of about $60. Comcast matched the offer to keep them. So competition will be good.
All you people running for office take note if you want my vote and all my fiends votes I suggest you make this work.

Item #20 concerns me. Why are we paying a lobbyist to go to our legislative delegation? Aren't our tax dollars already paying for this? Is that firm or its partners contributing to the Mayor's campaign? Need to know the answers to those questions. Looks like it potentially could be an illegal act. Need Atty Gen, Sec of State, Campaign Finance to look into it. |
