| I was there as a member of the Everett Crime Prevention volunteering and I would say last night was a great success. There were a great number of people who showed up, received information from the Everett Police Dept. on many subjects. Thanks to the many Men in Blue that gave of their free time to be there. There was a Police Dog demonstration, Segway demo, Mobile Unit was there, etc. Hats off to Target Stores also for everything they did. They gave out many gifts to all. We had child identification kits given out, crayons and coloring books on crime prevention. BBQ was wonderful. Not a thing leftover. For those who may be interested (and I hope there are alot), the next Everett Crime Prevention Meeting will be held on August 15th @ 7PM on the 2nd floor of the Police Station. Please come and bring your friends and neighbors if you are truly interested in helping to get our city back. This is the place to vent and get ideas on how we can ALL help. Thanks |

I'm looking forward to doing what I can to help. Can I go to the empty house two doors down and throw out the pile of old Independents and Leader Heralds on the porch? It starting to look abandoned and I'm not sure if anyone is responsible for keeping an eye on the property.
I will plan to be at the meeting, by the way

| Joanne G. How was the crime prevention meeting? Since I heard there was another shooting last Friday morning by the Whitter School (Center School) Don't you think we need patrols who are out there and not hanging around D.D. at nite? |

Man, I forgot about the meeting. With my kids starting school and me starting a new job, I lost track of time. I guess I will plan on being at the one next month.
